He finished primary and secondary school in Zrenjanin. He also finished the reserve officers school at the Airforce Technical Academy in Rajlovac, and now he is in the rank of reserve captain. He graduated in 1992 at the FTMUB, Master's degree in 1994 at the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Belgrade, PhD in 1999 at the FTMUB with the dissertation "Electrochemical Oxidation of Hydrogen, Carbon Monoxide and Their Mixtures on Monocrystals of Platinum and Platinum alloys with Molybdenum and Tin". For research associates-young talent at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the FTMUB was elected in 1992, in 1995 to assistant professor, in 2000 assistant professor, 2005 to associate professor, and in 2010 as a full professor.

Teaching: According to the current FTMUB program, holds lectures on subjects, Basic studies: Electrochemistry, Electrochemical sources, Fundamentals of electrometallurgy, Electrochemical and bio-renewable energy sources, Corrosion and Corrosion and protection. Master studies: Alternative energy sources. Doctoral studies: Electrodes, Electrochemical and Alternative Energy Sources, Electrocatalysis and Corrosion. He is the author of two university textbooks. He was the mentor of six defense doctoral dissertations.

Scientific and research activity: Scientific-research activity of Dr. Branimir Grgur covers most of the fundamental and applied electrochemistry. Scientific areas of interest are: electrochemical and alternative power sources, conversion and storage of alternative energy sources, electrochemical catalysis, electrochemical conductive polymers, kinetics and mechanisms of electrochemical reactions, corrosion and material protection. Bibliography includes 263 units. He is the author and co-author of a 117 international scientific papers, 35 in journals of national importance, several lectures on call (6) of which three plenary lectures at conferences of domestic significance, as well as a large number of scientific publications at international (54) and domestic meetings (19). He is a co-author of monography of a leading international significance: Konstantin I. Popov, Stojan S. Djokic, Branimir N. Grgur: Fundamental Aspects of Electrometallurgy, Kluwer Academic / Plenum Publishers, New York, 2002, 328 pp., Monograph of national importance: Branimir N. Grgur, Alternative Energy Sources: Principles of Conversion and Storage, Engineering Society for Corrosion, 2015, 177 pages, as well as three chapters in books of international significance.

Engineering activity: Dr. Branimir Grgur was a participant (22) and manager (13) of scientific projects and projects of cooperation with the different companies, from which he was the manager of two previous projects of basic research of the Ministry: "Modification of metallic and non-metallic materials with electro conductive polymers for use in new technologies", OI 142044, 2006-2010. and "Electrochemical synthesis and characterization of nanostructured functional materials for application in new technologies" OI 172046, 2010-2018. The results of the projects have been translated into numerous improvements in the business activity, especially from the aspect of materials protection from corrosion and exploitation characteristics of the battery, through cooperation with various economic entities. The co-author is of one technical solution and two accepted patents.

International cooperation: During 1996-1998. he was on the specialization at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Berkeley, USA, as well as at the postdoctoral studies in 2000. in the same laboratory. He participated in the project: New Electrocatalysts for Fuel Cells, Office of Energy Research, Basic Energy Sciences of the US Department of Energy under Contract No. DE-AC03-76SF00098, led by Dr. Philip N. Ross (1996-1998).
