Prof. Tatjana Volkov-Husović
Professor Tatjana Volkov Husovic obtained her B.Sc. in Metallurgy in 1989, at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, and later her M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering in 1994, and Ph.D. in Metallurgy in 1999 at the same faculty. She now serves as a full professor at the Faculty, teaching subjects including Fuels and Combustion, Transport Phenomena, Industrial furnaces, Combustion and Metallurgical furnaces, Refractories, Optimum Design and Materials for High Temperature Engineering Applications.
Her Professional experience started in 1989 at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Department of Metallurgical Engineering as an assistant trainee and as an assistant associate in 1994. She received following titles the period 2000-2012: Assistant Professor (2000), Associate Professor (2007), and Full Professor (2012). In October 2001 she was a guest scientist in Max-Planck Institute fur Metallrforshung, PML, from Prof. Dr. Fritz Aldinger. Shi is a technical editor and deputy editor of the Journal of Metallurgy (Metalurgija) as well as a member of Editorial Bord in the journal Materials and Design. In 2003 she was invited as an independent expert for the evaluation of proposals received in call under FP6. She was also invited in different conferences and participated in several research projects in the domain of fundamental and applied research in materials science concerning composite materials, ceramic fibers, refractory materials testing, image analysis. She passed certified expert exam in 1992 acquiring the right for development of technical documentation and construction of an metallurgy engineering.She is a member of Serbian Chemical Society and member of Scientific Committee for local and international conferences all around the globe. Also, she is a member of Association of metallurgical engineers of Serbia, Yugoslav association for testing and research materials and constructions, Serbian Society for Ceramic Materials.
